2. A 21 year old male presents with a swinging
fever, severe rigors, vomiting and confusion.
Travel history reveals that he returned from Kenya 14 days ago. O/E he was pyrexial, had hepatosplenomegaly
but no lymphadenopathy and was slightly jaundiced. His GCS was 11.
3. A 45 year old male presents with frequency,
dysuria and haematuria. Blood tests
reveal a marked eosinophilia. He
arrived back to the UK 4 months ago after travelling Africa; his best memory
was diving in Lake Malawi.
4. A 21 year old female presents with chronic
diarrhoea beginning 2 days before her return to the UK from India 3 weeks ago. She has lost weight, feels bloated and also
complains of very offensive burps.
5. A 35 year old male complains of a persistent
ulcer in the mucosa of the mouth. When
questioned further admits to remembering a small ulcer on his upper arm which
healed without treatment when holidaying in Brazil one year ago.
